“An amazing endless trek … You keep on trekking and the trail didn’t get over“
My Another Blog on Valley of Flowers National Park–>
I m travelling in valley since 2000 as I was the first time guide for a European senior citizen couple in 2001. This was my first trekking experience in world heritage sight. After that I did many trips with scientist and UNESCO team as well Japanese team. Having great knowledge on valley of flowers in and around high pass trek.
S Smythe discovered the valley in 1931 when he lost the way and enter valley while returning from expedition to Mt. Kamet. The valley was known to the locals who used it as a pasture for their cattle. He named the place Valley of Flowers and also wrote a book with the same name. Valley of Flowers was declared a National Park in 1982 and in 2005 was listed in Heritage Site UNESCO.
